HI,
Shortly about my situation:
- A recent graduate (Master's) from one of the Canadian Universities and got my Post Graduate Work Permit
- Desperately trying to find a job with my field, but no luck yet so got a temporary job in fastfood ??? :-[. My situation is below:
I have found a temporary job in fastfood (kitchen help/food counter attendant); and I know that this position should be in the C category listed. I just wanted to ask your advice and would love to hear your suggestions regarding the situation that I am in.
I have a 4+ years of work experience before coming to Canada, and now I got my Master's degree. In this case, the only option that's available for me in order to apply for the PR is the Federal Skilled Workers?
However, I also would like to have other options too; and one of these alternatives is to gain some work experience and apply under this category as a Canadian Work Experience category!?.
My concern is that knowing that I am not going to find a job with my field right away, and working for other temporary jobs that are listed in the C category, what are my chances of getting PR under the category C? I have had some work experience in other categories (Engineering, which I believe either A or B?) and now I have recently received my Master's degree in Engineering as well.
What are the chances if I decide to apply for the EE with Federal Skilled category (am I correct) without waiting to gain some Canadian Work Experience; or should I have the Canadian experience working for any jobs that are listed in the NOC specifically the C category, and apply under this category despite I have work experience and master's degree from a Canadian University in Engineering?
If I apply for the EE under the Federal Skilled category and my application gets rejected, let's say, am I then eligible to apply under the Canadian work experience category? Please help me to clarify this! :-\ :-\ PS. I may have written the names of the categories incorrectly, sorry for that...
