Hi,

I've been working as a support technician for nearly 8 years continuous employment which falls under Skill Level B NOC 2282 I believe.

I have a Computing Diploma 3 years education from University with certificate. I have a Diploma Supplement sheet to say my university ID, name, d.o.b main fields studied which are Network and Communications.

Can I apply under NOC 2147 Computer Engineer which is the one of the 24 skills for Federal Skill worker?

Description for NOC 2147 - w w w.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/qc/job_futures/statistics/2147.shtml

Some feedback from Senior member would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure.

According to the education requirements a degree is required. The educational assessment should tell what the Canadian equivalency.

a university degree in computer engineering, in software engineering or in electrical engineering with an option in computers is usually required. A university degree in computer science may also allow entry to this occupation. Participation in co-op program internships is an asset[color]

Hi,

I found out on the Determine your eligibility – Federal skilled workers page section B regarding Education

You must have:

a Canadian diploma, certificate, or credential. My certification is UK diploma which is world recognize which the Educational Credential Assessment would say is equivalent to a Canadian diploma.

I know the education is not a problem for me.

I'm I eligible to apply under NOC 2147 based on the original post of my first question?

Thanks

Dont think so a Diploma will work.
You need Bachelors to secure enough points and it has to be evaluated
