Hello everyone
My LMIA and work permit got approved about a week ago, and now I want to send in my application for PR trough the Federal Skilled Trades Program as soon as possible.
There are a couple of questions I would like to check before mailing it in, hope you guys can give me some advice:
1: The offer of employment: It's already dated from June 22 and an offer for a year. I worked in a working holiday visa back then and got promoted to a new function, for which my employer successfully applied for an LMIA for. Since 4 months already passed by, would it be best to ask my employer for a current-dated new contract for a year or longer to apply for the FSTP, or do I have to include the same contract/job offer that was included in the LMIA application? Or does the contract have to say for a year after getting approved for the FSTP?
2: Minimum 2 years of full time work experience, or equivalent. How many hours per week is full time equivalent? I've done quite a lot of part-time work over the last couple of years. I've read 30hr/week, can someone confirm? So in theory, 3 years at 20hr/week would also be enough?
3: Previous countries of residence question on the form: I've been in Canada on a 1-year spell as worker (working holiday), 2 months as visitor since my work permit expired, and now back as worker. Do I add a line for every different status I had in Canada, or just fill in I've been here as worker (current status) since my first entry?
Thanks a lot!
