FBI - Police Report

For those who got their FBI Background check,

How long did it take? Is there any way to check the status of the request?

I sent it in with Credit Card Auth form. Figured that i wont see the charge until they actually process the request. Been told it takes up to 6 months.

Just trying to get an approx. days from different experience.

It took me 13 weeks, which is standard timeline at the moment..

I applied for mine in mid-July this year (after IRCC had announced a Fall 2017 effective time for C-6's 3/5 provision) and I received the FBI pcc letter in the second half of October; so just on three and a half months altogether. At the 13wk mark, I phoned the FBI's WV number (found in the lower part of their IdHSC webpage), and I learned from the officer that mine had actually just been processed at that time and was just waiting in a queue to be mailed out. Mine's dated October 12th, the day after IRCC made C-6 effective for 3/5. It's a 2-page document. The first page is some kind of watermarked cover page. Good luck.

Current processing time is 12-14 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery."

hope this is helpful for some folks
