FBI Expiration time

I have read that an FBI certificate lasts only 3 months.
i have also seen that apps through Buffalo take about 4 months.
Will I need to provide a second FBI cert?
Or will they just let it go a bit?

for the FBI report you just have to have sent it in before three months has passed from the date of issue. I suppose if you have a really complicated application and it takes over a year they might ask you for a new report like they do a medical, but that's just a guess from me.


As for processing in 4 months at buffalo---well that's the short end of things, I wouldn't hold my breath that you'd be done that quickly. Better to be happily surprised when its faster than bitterly disappointed when it takes longer. I'm already at four months myself!

I had just ment that it was often longer than the three month limit
and that made me wonder.
I am not exactly holding my breath, my then husband will
be here in Boston with me for 6 months at the time we apply
