FBI @chanellers for CIC

Any body have idea about FBI report getting from chanellers.
Chanellers sent an email containing FBI report in PDF format.

But CIC wants it Original report from FBI.
What to do now?

Someone called CIC and they were told that it was okay to print out the channeler report in that case. My guess would be they're aware that some channelers issue their reports in this manner. Since the FBI no longer mails the original certificate on tamper-proof paper, it doesn't seem like a huge issue. Occasionally people are not even being asked for originals if they didn't provide it up front and a scanned copy suffices.

Are you a U.S. citizen or permanent resident? Those are the only people they accept channeler reports from.

Hmm. Not sure what to tell you then, really. That seems odd. Did you contact them and explain that the channeler you used only provides it via a PDF? I know of people on here who have provided that without issue. There are channelers who do provide physical letters, and are still faster than the FBI themselves, I believe, so maybe that would be an option?

Wow, so they finally started accepting channeler reports officially again! I emailed them a complaint letter about that as it made no sense that the reports from channelers were good enough for the FBI, but not for Canada.

I don't know about the original requirement. The mailed reports are supposedly on tamper-proof paper.

So what u suggess about chaneler process? Alongwith fbi report from chaneler what other document we need to provide in support of fbi through chaneller?

You should have researched first about the channelers that provide a physical copy of the report. Is it possible for you to request a physical copy of your results to the channeler you used? You can always give them a call.
Just make sure the channeler you used is approved by the FBI.

If you are willing to repeat the process and to shell out some bucks, I recommend this channeler for they ship/send you a physical copy of the results.

So if i get hard copy of Fbi result by using approved Channeler, it will be acceptable by CIC?

By LPR you mean Legal Permanent Resident, correct? If so, then yes. They will accept it.

Option 2:

For U.S. citizens and permanent residents only: you may apply to an FBI-approved channeler (a third party that helps deliver your information to the FBI). They will collect your application form, fingerprints, any fee(s), and give them to the FBI.

Once the FBI completes their background check, they will send the results to the channeler. The channeler will then then give you your record check letter.

Please include the FBI letter with your application, and send us the complete package.
