My father who is 85 yrs old whom i sponsered is living with my sibling and has applied for welfare in Ontario. He refuses to live with me, doesn't want anything to do with me, and won't let me care for his needs but yet he has gone and applied for welfare. Now welfare is demanding money from me to cover his costs. I am a working man, with a housewife, and Two children in university. I can not provide $1200 a month to pay someone else's mortgage when they have the money but don't want to show it to the government. I pay my taxes. They should too......

What my father has back home:

1. Land worth millions currently rented to permanent tenants and collecting a rental income. Rented since 1980s and renewed each year for higher amount since
2. Pension for being a retired military serviceman each month
3. Sold land for well over hundred thousand which he pocketed all

My problem:
My brother is taking all proceedings from land. But wants me to cover his living/medical costs for each month through welfare.

What can I do? Since there is fraud being committed by more than one person knowingly and willingly.
Help.

You don't say what province your father is living in. However if you google "report social assistance fraud" + the province name - I'm sure you'll get a link in the results that instructs you how to report your father's welfare fraud. Good luck.
