Hello,

I am a Canadian Living in Peru where I have met my now wife. We have a young child of our own (2 months) and a 4 year old from a previous relationship of my wife’s. He has a British passport as his father is from the UK.
I am wondering if it is easier to get a travel visa for her and then apply as an inland family sponsor after they arrive or apply for the sponsorship as an Outland from Peru.
Our hope is to be in Canada for March /April 2021 so my family can finally meet my wife and children. Any guidance is appreciated.

Outland sponsorship won't be finalized by that time. So if your aim is to visit in that time period then you'll need to obtain a TRV for your wife and eTA for her first child. Assuming you were born in Canada your child is a citizen by birth and you need to apply for proof of citizenship. Suggest you kick off all of these applications as soon as you can since processing times are delayed. I assume your wife either has sole custody of her first child or permission from the father for the child to travel. You could also submit and outland application simultaneously or wait until you can all get to Canada to apply inland. Note that approval of your wife's TRV is not guaranteed.
