I have a feeling that I know the answer to this one, and that it's "no," but I have to ask just in case. Is there any way that might speed up the processing time for my daughter's Proof of Citizenship paperwork? For example submitting it at the Embassy versus through the mail from home in Virginia? Taking the paperwork directly to the registration office in Montreal? I somehow missed some of the "fine print" concerning processing times, and it seems like it will be cutting things close if things I just send the papers through the mail.

Thanks for your help!

What I know is that a direct submission at the registration office window will eliminate the delay taken by postal department but the paper processing will be in the same speed. All the inward documents daily received at the office by any manner will be logged and passed to the respective sections for review and processing as per their procedure. Cannot anticipate a priority processing for papers submitted directly at the registration office. Therefore I too agree with your Nope.
