My only daughter and her husband live in British Columbia and I wish to immigrate and work in BC. How long does this process take and when may I apply?

They would need to meet the minimum income requirements for the past three years before they can apply. Then it would be 2018 before they can apply to sponsor you (2017 is closed already) if they meet LICO and the application has to be selected in the lottery. Honestly, it really is difficult to say......it could be years. Have you looked at immigrating on your own?

From today, it would take a minimum of 2-3 years. It could take a lot longer.

Very difficult to immigrate as a parent. Not impossible, but now there is a lottery for it and even if you wait till 2018 there is no guarantee your app would get through. You are better off researching how to immigrate on your own, and/or she can sponsor you for a super visa which would allow you to stay as a visitor for years at a time.

If you have education in one of the NAFTA categories that is one possibility for working. Depends totally on your education history.
