Hi. .
I mailed my application package via Canada Post to CIC office in Mississauga 3 weeks ago. Since then I have not heard a word from this department. I know I have to wait for at least a year to get it done but I just want to know my application is in their hand and will be processed in due course. Canada Post confirmed my application package was delivered according to the tracking number provided.
Can anyone tell me that how long will it take before I can have a message from CIC. So far today CIC have not returned my application package (in case I have missed some documents or information...)

It can take 2-8 weeks to get the first correspondence, so just sit tight
