Hi,

My dad's wife (my step mother), and my sister live in Canada and are permanent residents of Canada. I am an Australian citizen and was just enquiring as to whether i would have to gain employment in Canada to enter the country. I was also wondering if it could help me to apply for, if it exists, a nanny visa, as my sister is only three and my step mum needs aid in caring for her because she is on her own.

You can either ask your step-mum to sponsor you to Canada as PR or your step-mum make arrangement for you to come to Canada as a live-in caregiver to look after your younger sister. More information on this website: www.cic.gc.ca
