Family member and income

A quick question:

I got married Dec,2018. To sponsor my parents we right now will be a family of 4. Because of it needs past 3 years income to apply and my husband was student 2016 with 0 income, my income of 2016 is only enough for 3 people. So does my family court 3 people income for 2016 work because we were not married in 2016?
