Hi,

Me and my wife ,both are retired and government pensioners. We are a family of 6 members (one major daughter ,2 major sons and one daughter-in-law). All of them are skilled workers having post graduate qualification. I have my own residential properties in Chandigarh (India). I want to migrate to Canada along with my family. Please tell me the pre-requisites for the same and work options as per the norms of CANADA. Also, tell me how many points we should have before applying (and whether the points should be calculated on individual basis or collectively).

Is it advisable to start my own business there or we should apply for jobs for this purpose.

This section of the forum is for Canadians who are sponsoring their family members to Canada. I would recommend that you post your question to the Skilled Worker section of this forum instead:

There is no retirement category for immigrating to Canada. You would have to qualify through the skilled worker, provincial nominee or investor/entrepreneur program. Since your children are adults, you cannot apply to immigrate as a family. They will have to qualify and apply to immigrate separately / on their own.
