Hi to all i need some info. About type A independent. My mother is so angry on me because I didn't continue my study im and 20 years old buy I'm enrolled in this semester it would have some complications in our application I'm so worried about it help pls..they will ask for my school records?

You don't have to continue in school full time to continue to be included as a dependent in your parents' application. You just can't get married and can't enter into a common law living arrangement with someone.

You are a Type A dependent. Type A dependent has nothing to do with being in school. Whether you're in school or not doesn't matter at all.

As Scylla said, you just can get married or become common-law.

Yes, they will ask for your updated school of records.....

No you are completely wrong. That is only for Type B dependents.

The definition of a dependent child is changing for Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) immigration programs.

The age at which a child will be considered a dependent is being reduced, from under 22 to under 19.

The exception for full-time students is also being removed. Children of applicants who are 19 or over but are financially dependent on their parents and are enrolled in full-time studies will no longer be eligible to be processed as dependent children.

In all cases, a child will continue to be considered a dependant, regardless of age, if they have depended on their parents for financial support because of a mental or physical condition.

That only affects NEW applicants. Has nothing to do with people who's apps are already in progress.
