Family Class Sponsorship vs PGWP

Hi all, a forum newbie here and I got some questions regarding work permits.

Im a recent graduate from a one-year postgraduate certificate program, eligible for PGWP. At the same time, my family can sponsor me for the PR and the open work permit.

my questions are:

1. can i apply for a temp visitor visa after my PGWP validity?
2. am i able to apply for the open work permit under sponsorship after applying/holding a PGWP?

From my understanding PGWP is processed faster and can be done online if you are in need of a legal status urgently. Family sponsorship can take a while at this stage.
