Before I answer your 3 questions, you can only sponsor any other relative if your parents are deceased and you are not married / common law and don't have any children.

1. The application is sent to mississauga office and then when approved, they get sent to the nationality of your sponsor.

2. No you cannot apply to ottawa, unless the other relative happened to be American.

3. Yes it usually the home country of the "other relative" you are sponsoring.

thanks for the reply application is in Mississauga and i am 100% my application will be approve but the it shows my home country processing time is too long. Do they process application on circumstantial basis? Also I am applying H&C on with it. do you know how much processing time does H&C takes?

Your blanket questions do nothing to help anyone answer them appropriately.

You said you are 100% they'll approve your application.

What kind of application did you send in to Mississauga?

Who was the application for?

Where is your home country? Just because it has a long listed processing time doesn't mean anything. That is likely where the application will be sent since it is the country of origin for whomever it is you are trying to sponsor.

Hi application is for my brother who is just 19 and I have no other relative living, besides i am single in Canada. My home country is India. As i met couple of lawyers i was told other family members category is processed quicker than normal application. I have no clue about how much time H&C will take but since he is last surviving family member i am applying for both.
This is the whole case.

As long as you have no spouse or kids and parents are both deceased, then you would be able to submit app to sponsor your brother. You will send to CPC-Mississauga first, and then after you're approved as a sponsor CIC will decide where the application is then sent to. It will most likely be either Ottawa or New Delhi office, but you have no control over that only CIC will decide.

Your lawyers are trying to fill you up with something other than accurate facts.

From what I am given to understand, your brothers application will be processed in the same manner as every other family application is processed.

As Rob told you, it will be up to CIC to decide where to send the application. It usually really depends on where your brother currently is. If he is here in Canada with you, they may opt to complete his application in Ottawa because he is here. I wouldn't bank on anything though until the application is finally sent the processing office.

I am not sure why you would also need to file for H&C. Your brother being the last 'family' member for you is all you need to file successfully. I guess that is your lawyers way of making some more money off you or something, I dunno *shrugs*

Anyway, best of luck to you.
