hello,

we are filling out the application forms under family class... I have a question on Part 3, do I still have to fill our Part 3 on forms specific to thier region. Country of origin -Philippines. when I live in Canada on a WP (for 3 years now). i just dont want to submit our applications without this part if i reallt have to...

also, its asking for police clearance, do I get it here in canada where i live now, or do i have to request one from the philippines?

thanks

The regional specific guides are for the region in which you are submitting your application. So, if you are applying though the Philippines then you need to submit all documentation required for there, regardless of where you are.

As for Police Clearance Certificates, they are required for all countries you've lived in for more than 6 months. So if you are from the Philippines, and have lived there, you need a police clearance from there and anywhere else you've lived.

Thank you for the information.

What if, since I am already in Canada, and i will be submitting it to missagua or buffallo, do i still need these??? sorry.. just confused.. thanks..

the police clearance has nothing to do with where you are submitting... only where you have lived.

The region specific guide is for the visa office you are applying through.

if u r applying outland the 1st part of the application is processed in Mississauga but the 2nd part is processed to an outside of Canada visa office - either of ur country of citizenship or country of residence (under certain conditions); so u need to send the documents required for the region of that specific visa office

u also need the police certificates of any country where u resided more than 6 months and u were 18 or older i think (which probably includes the one from Philippines)

from what u said if u apply outland it looks that the outside visa office would be Manila and u need to provide the required docs requested by them; i'm not sure why Buffalo comes into the question...
