I obtained Visit Visa and entered Canada in 2003. I applied for Asylum however under a different name. The case was rejected (after confirmation/status match with USA). I left Canada as i was holding a Genuine visa and passport. Following are the questions:
1) Can i apply for Visit Visa and if they can run the back ground check through my finger prints?
2) If i get married to Canadian Citizen and will there be a problem?

Yes anticipate problems. Document fraud and misrepresentation are serious offences. You got caught in 2003 so your fingerprints are in the system.

I entered and left Canada under a different name and passport. Anyways, i need to clear my status and what is the best possible way? To note, my wife is Canadian National.

Personally, I think you need a good immigration lawyer. Having a wife who is Canadian probably won’t help much. You will need to be honest on whatever application you submit or risk a misrepresentation charge. Expect that, as noted, they probably have your fingerprints available, so whatever identification you used, they will figure it out.

Your fingerprints will be the same no matter what so your fake documents and previous asylum claims will become evident. Given your previous fraud there will be concerns about your marriage.

Your wife will need to sponsor you for PR once you are married. As part of that application, you will have to be 100% honest about your past immigration history including the asylum claim using a different name.

Yes - you can try applying for a TRV. Once again, you will have to declare the asylum claim in this application. Given your immigration history, there's a significant chance your TRV will be refused.

At this point the only way to fix your situation is to be completely honest about your immigration history in all future applications to Canada. If you try to hide your past (either in the TRV application or the spousal sponsorship application) - you should be expecting a refusal and a five year ban from Canada

I did made a mistake 15 years ago and i do not intend to hide anything now. How will i get a clearance on this issue now? I am not looking to apply for any immigration at this moment but i may require to travel one day to Canada, so better to have all things in order.

There is no way to apply for clearance.

When you apply to come to Canada, you must declare this past history in your TRV and/or PR application.

In case of Visit Visa, ofcourse it will be rejected. Should i start the PR process now? And ofcourse i will provide the actual information.

Just to add to the above responses:
You must declare any previous names, aliases, nicknames, etc in your visa application. This will bring your previous document/passport fraud into focus.

Your fingerprints are in the IRCC records. It's best to declare all information + your previous asylum claim, etc truthfully.... to avoid a 5-years' ban for misrepresentation

Yes - you can apply for PR now provided you and your wife are already married.

The lawyers in Toronto are the one who advise any one new to apply for Asylum with new ideas which are fake. I applied for the Asylum but as it was never true it was denied as proposed. Passport fraud and all other such offences were never intentional since i was only 18 at that time.

If you were aware of it you are also responsible. Switch layers. You are clearly dealing with corrupt lawyers who shouldn't;t be practicing law.

18 is an adult. You knew what you were doing. IRCC is not a fan of the "someone else told me to do it" excuse. Take responsibility for your actions instead of trying to blame others
