hello, mother applied for refugee and I was with her, I was either 2 or 3 years old at the time, got rejected and left. came to Canada 16 years later as student and worker and now got ITA. what do I answer for the have you applied for refugee and have you been refused?

note: CBSA does ask me sometimes about it when I cross the US Canada border so I know its in their system.

Well you know that they know, so your only option is to be truthful on the application. Say yes and provide any information they need. Also include an explanation about it in the LOE to let them know your mom did it when you were two years old. Other than that I don't see the rejection negatively affecting you. They did let you in to study, work and tourist visit lol.

You have to say "yes". Presumably you declare this in your study permit as well. There's no issue as long as you've declared this history.
