Hello All,

I have a few questions regarding my wife's visa. she is on her spouse open work permit with me in Canada while I am studying. I am graduating this May 2017. I was wondering should I add my wifes visa extension file with my PWGP or should I wait until i get my PWGP and then apply for her visa extension.?

You would be best off to post your question to the International Students or Foreign Workers section of the forum. This section of the forum is for Canadians who are sponsoring their spouses for PR.

To answer your question, in order to extend your spouse's SOWP, you must have a full time job that is NOC A, B or 0 and must have already started your full time job. If you don't yet have a full time job that meets these requirements or haven't yet started that job, then you'll need to convert your wife's status to visitor and she will need to stop working once her SOWP expires. She can apply for a new SOWP once you meet the job criteria.
