Hey all,
Just wanted your take: Our MP's office got back to us saying that NDVO is still doing background checks. I have sent my passport to them 4 months ago. They said they will extend my medical and police clearances by 6 months by default.
The reason is because of my extensive travel history.
By extensive I mean: visited 5-6 countries as a kid, resident of Singapore, studied in the US 4 years, citizen of India but haven't resided there since I was 5, visited another 6-7 countries since turning 18. These countries were all South East Asian, European, North American and UAE and Oman. No 'suspicious' countries and never overstayed a visa. I provided all required PCCs, including FBI.
Anyone has any information about why background checks take so long?
