Hi everyone
Can you reply to me asap please.
I want to apply for two years visa for my mom.
We have already extended her visa once for six month, is there a good change of her getting for two years.
I can assure you I have income more then LICO and will be taking Medical insurance above 100,000.
Please help.
regards
Sam

If you want her to stay for 2 years you need to apply for a super visa rather than extending her regular visitor visa.

I'd say you may want to try to apply for a Super Visa instead as someone mentioned it. First of all, Super Visa has a higher approval rate than a regular TRV.

Also, with a Super Visa your mom is allowed to stay in Canada for up 2 years in a row and the Visa itself is usually issued for 10 years. As for TRV, you are only allowed to stay on a Canadian soil for no longer than 6 months per visit.

As for the Medical Insurance, you may use online calculators for it to get a quote. For a regular TRV there is no requirement to have a proof of insurance, but it is just recommended to have one and avoid financial loss in case something happens.

Hope it will help.

Thanks for all you comment.
Do I need to give any special reason for extension. If you do you think looking after my daughter while I work and my wife study would be a good reason.

Extending Visa is pretty simple and you can request for 2 years and they will extend it but you need to give Medical exam for that as anything more than 6 months require medicals.. I did it for my mom last year and was pretty simple.
or other option is super visa but for that she will need to apply from her home country and getting super visa is also not that hard. you can apply for whatever suits you.
