Extension of visa with valid work permit

I have my PGWP which will expire in May 2020. But my visa (Study Visa) on my passport is going to expire at the end of this month. Do I have to extend that visa as well? Is that required while you enter Canada from Europe?

1. Assuming you are not from a TRV exempt country (why don't posters state their citizenship, it makes answering a lot easier) you need a new TRV to re-enter Canada, other than if your trip is only to the US or St. Pierre et Miquelon.
