Extension of tourist visa

I have applied extension of tourist visa for my wife and cic has asked to go for medical check up (Which I have nor done yet), they have sent me approval of her visa, which is only given for 2 months. Before that May I know why they have given it only for 2 months? and do i need to take her for medical test for this 2 months stay?

The extension was approved conditional on your wife taking the medical. Yes - she absolutely needs to get the medical done.

It's up to IRCC how long an extension they grant.

Thanks for your reply. Okay I will definitely go through the medical check up. Bt can you tell me, why she got only 2 months of extension? And if I want her to stay here for more months what exactly I need to do?

She would need to apply for another extension before the current extension expires. Note that the two month extension she received is probably a polite notification she is wearing out her welcome in Canada and they want her to leave. Another extension will likely be refused.
