Hi, I got my landing date as December 2018 for all my family.I want to travel first and family will join after 3 months to skip the winter as i have an infant. The options available to me are to get the new medicals done and submit so that CIC will cancel existing document and issue a new one.Do you know how long will this process takes?
one more option available is If i travel first before landing date and family wants to join later..in this scenario what will happen and how the situation will be handled by CIC.
Kindly suggest me if you come across any situation like this.

Others can comment as well but maybe clarify if you and your family have COPRs that expire in December 2018 then you must all land next month as not possible to extend COPR vaildity even if you get new medicals. Having an infant and travelling in winter would not even be considered even if were possible.

All family members have separate COPR and same date of landing.Thinking of landing alone and then contact CIC for the next steps to be taken to get the family back to canada.what's the impact ?

You should do whatever it takes to ensure your entire family lands in Canada before the COPR expiration date. Otherwise you'll be creating significant complications.

If your family doesn't land by the date on the COPR, you will have to sponsor them for PR from scratch. This means that you will have to fill out forms again and your family will have to complete another medical and provide PCCs again. You will also have to pay additional fees.

You will only be able to sponsor your family while living in Canada (you cannot sponsor them from outside of Canada). Depending where they are from, it's possible they may have to remain in your home country to wait for the application to be approved while you remain in Canada. Processing of the application will take approximately 12 months.
