Hi All,
I am currently waiting to hear back from cic, as to whether i get an extension on my tourist record. I've asked for it to be extended untill November of this year, upon which i will go home (to the UK) for a month for Christmas. I then intend to come back in January on a student visa, however the course is only 6 months long, and i have heard you don't even need a visa for a course that long.
Are there going to be problems coming back into Canada for another 6 months without a visa to go on a course, after having already been here as a tourist for a year? Would it be best that I apply for a student visa anyway? or will they not give me one if its only for 6 months.
