I am writing this question in behalf of my mother. She needs to extend her open work permit but she can't seem to know how to answer some questions and don't know what files to include in the application.
The questions are quite long so please be patient
Information about my mom that may help in answering the questions:
- she used to be a live-in caregiver
- she's in Ontario
- she now has an open work permit
- she no longer works for the same employer (when she was a live-in caregiver)
- our immigration application is currently in process - 2 years (family is in the Philippines)
- she received an email stating that she should extend her temporary resident status
- she just received her Medical Examination Instructions
1. In the IMM 5710 form:
Q3: I am applying for one or more of the following (what are applicable to her aside from the 'extension of a temporary resident permit'):
- An extension of a work permit with the same employer
- A work permit with a new employer
- Restoration of your status as a worker
- An initial or an extension of a temporary resident permit
2. In the Document Checklist (IMM 5556)
What boxes should be ticked?
