Hi All,

Currently I am living in Canada(Toronto) on a work and holiday visa as Dutch citizen.
I have a full-time job working for a charity sporting fundraising event.
Onfortunately my visa expires by the end of the month and I would love to continue working for this company and living in this country.
Wonder if anyone knows the process of what I need to do to extend my visa or what other visa I should apply for?!
Your help/advice is very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Bas

Two options: You can apply for a second working holiday visa (if the program allows you to apply for a second visa). Alternatively your employer can apply for a Labour Market Opinion, if the Labour Market Opinion is approved, you can then apply for a Closed Work Permit.

More information about Labour Market Opinions can be found here:

Hi Scylla,

Thank you so much for your fast and correct reply. So basically I am thinking of applying for the In-Canada Temporary Resident visa, right now I am awaiting upon my LMO application that has been submitted 2 weeks ago by my employer. Do you think that the In-Canada Temporary Resident Visa would be the correct visa to apply for?
Thanks for your advice Scylla once again!
