Hello All,

I received my COPR few days back, the date before which I should land is given as 20th Jan 2017.
I was planning move permanently by May. Can this be done?
What is the procedure for the same?
Are there any risks involved in doing so?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Best Regards,
OMSAIOM

You must land before the COPR expiry date, otherwise you will forfeit your PR. An extension is not possible.

You can always land in Canada to activate your PR, then return to your home country to prepare for the actual move.

Hello dan_and,
Thank you for your reply.

Best Regards,

By any chance, do you know if minor applicants (inland application) must land before the validity date of the CoPR ?
My kids have temporally left Canada for their home country and may return after the date of the validity.
Thank you.

All your depends must land before the expiry date of your CoPR, or they will lose their PR status.

Hi All,

I received my COPR 1 month back, the date before which I should land is given as 20th June 2018.
I was planning to move permanently by September' 2018. I mean to say that I want the date of landing to get extended to 3 months more. Can this be done?
