Extend stay in Canada

My husband is now staying in Canada with the extended permit for 1 year.
He entered Canada 8 months ago with the electronic via.
(which for some countries's residents,no visa application is needed,however only 6 months he cay stay ).

Therefore, with the extended permit, he can stay in Canada for another 10 months.
My question is:

We will have a trip to US for few days. After that , we will come back Canada.
1.can he still enter Canada?
2.how long will he be allowed to stay?

anyone have the same kind of experience?

Hey girl....... when your husband resquested for extend visitor visa..... Did he send the medical proof via online??.....I need to know that information.....In your case i think you must call to Service Canada
