Extend or renew multiple entry super visa

Hello, my mother in law has a 6-year multiple entry parents/grandparents visa to Canada. It is going to expire in July this year. She is currently in Canada but needs to go back home (Cuba) next month (March). We have been trying to apply for permanent residency for her during this time but the window was never open. My question, how can I extend her multiple entry visa so that she can come back after July this year? Can I or do we need to apply for another parents/grandparents visa? Thank you.

You cannot extend a visa. She applies for a new TRV or supervisa. If a SV, she needs to complete medical and buy a year of health insurance.
