EXTEND MY STAY FROM WORKING VISA TO STUDENT VISA

Hi everybody!
I'm living in Toronto now with a working visa that will expire in April 2020.
I'm also applying for a student visa, the course will start in September 2020.
Once I get the student visa, how does it work? Do I have to go outside the country and re-enter to activate it?
How long before my course will start? I already have a job now, but if I get the student visa can I work before the course starts?
It's so confusing!

You will have to stop working when you work permit expires in April. You will be able to start working again part time once your classes start in September. You will not be able to work at all in the period in between. I'm not sure about your other question.
