Hello,

I have submitted my express entry profile since July 2016. I initially included 3 companies for which I worked which summed up to 3.5 years of work experience.

I have decided to eliminate 1 of these companies as it would be practically impossible for me to obtain documentation to prove I worked there. Based on my new calculations the new length sums up to 2.9 years of work experience.

Even though I don´t reach 3 years I am still getting full points on my express entry profile. I believe it is because when you fill out the work history section you can only include the month and year for the time periods. For example if I started working on April 20, the cic website assumes I have worked the whole month of April (30 days). When in reality I only worked 10 days in April as I started working on April 20. The problem is that I cannot include the days in cic website. Could this be a problem?

It could be a problem and I think others have experienced it. If you want to be safe then change it to march which will reduce your points but mean you won't get an ITA under 'false' reasons. You could then explain this discrepancy in you LOE eventually.

He's not misrepresenting in any way, it is not his fault the system won't allow to select a specific date.

Again, just leave it as is :)

But people have been rejected because of this type of error. He needs to have completed 12 months of work.

Yeah leaving it as is and he receives invitation under FSW category, then there is a good chance of rejection. IRCC had treated this as misrepresentation for few guys on our forum
