Guys, I need advice.
I have applied for paper-based PNP back in February 2015 and I have passed my Medical and payed RPRF fee. Status shows "In Process". Waiting for Decision Made.
My Post Graduate Work Permit expired November 2015 and I got Bridging Work Permit now, for 1 year only. Since CIC PNP updated their processing times to 15 months now, it looks like I will be getting Passport Request in May, 2016 if everything goes the same pace for CIC as it is right now (which is unlikely, but let’s assume).
Can I apply for Express Entry with Bridging Work Permit? Are two different applications for PR acceptable in Canada, having my PNP application at “In Process” stage?
I was thinking of applying for Express Entry meanwhile to be safe. My worry is, it is basically my last year in Canada as a Worker since you are allowed to work here for 4 years maximum on WP (3 years PGWP + 1 year BOWP). If “In Process” gets delayed for more than May 2016, I’m gonna have to apply for Visitor Visa and stay here waiting for PR without the job after my BOWP expires.
If anyone here is in the same situation, please share your thoughts.
Thanks
