Kindly let me know which documents exactly need to be notarized and which documents need to be translated?
I have gone through CIC page that describes how the document verification need to be done but still there are some grey areas that needs clarification and there is no explanation of those things on cic website.
According to CIC, any document that is not in English need to be translated but what about Bilingual documents?
My Nikah Naama (Marriage Certificate) has now been issued by NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority), an institute that issues/renews and Identity Cards and regulates other legal papers to Pakistani Nationals. Earlier on, people used to submit the Marriage Certificate notarized translation to Canadian Embassy. I am not sure if people are still following the old practice and this is being accepted by IRCC.
I need answers to the below questions preferably from any Pakistani couple/ Bachelor who has recently submitted their case through Express Entry and successfully got the PR Visa without any hurdles:
1. Shall I submit NADRA version of the Marriage Certificate or the Translated Version of Original Nikah Naama (in Urdu) for Express Entry?
2. If NADRA version, do I still need to translate and Notarize the document? Since the NADRA issued certificate is bilingual (i.e., both in English and Urdu). Or I only need to Notarize and don't need to translate?
3. Same question for Birth Certificate issued by NADRA.
4. If I need to Notatize, Colored copy or Black & White Copy?
5. Do I need to Notarize my employment records also?
6. Do I need to translate and Notarize my National ID? This is also nowadays issued as Bilingual by NADRA.
I am a candidate of MPNP through Express Entry stream. I have got the ITA and now I need to upload the documents. Kindly answer the above questions because it is very important.
Thanks and Best Regards
Zia
