Express Entry - Single applicant but spouse will not come to cananda

Hi,

Request you to clear my doubt. I am Married and spouse is in defense serving officer and will not come to Canada now. Will my application be affected in any sense?
I would be applying for express entry as single applicant and declare married and update spouse details as required.

Is there any restriction that if spouse is in serving defense, partner cannot file for skilled express entry ?

You cannot apply as single. That would be misrpresentation. You must apply as married but declare your spouse as non-accompanying. Note that your partner will have to pass the medical and provide PCCs and pass the security / background check as part of your application.

Thanks for the response. Yea sorry, as Single application i meant only as a primary applicatant under married.

What are the documents and when should my spouse undergo the verification, security, after i get ita or before?
