Please when applying for your PR through CEC express entry do you really need to show huge amount as your balance even as a worker in Canada. When I was creating my profile i declared I have 20000 dollars but i dont have it will it affect me.

No proof of funds are required for CEC program.

Well, lying about it is not good either. :)

You can change it to 0 or the actual amount you have, doesn't matter. When you submit your e-APR, instead of uploading the proof of funds documentation, you upload a LOE instead.

"Note: You do not have to meet the funds requirement if you were invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class.

The system currently asks all applicants to provide a proof of funds document. If you don’t need to provide proof of funds, you must upload a letter explaining either that you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, or that you have a valid job offer."
