I am actually awaiting PPR and I have applied for EE through a consultant. I have received my AOR and completed my biometrics and has been 4 months since AOR and I have been informed that "your application is in progress and we will inform you if there is an update or any documents required. You may not hear from us for a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on the application happens closer to estimated completion date". A snapshot of the application on mentioning the above is only shared by the consultant. Is this normal? Any suggestions on should I apply for GCMS now or wait for other 2 months and then apply.

I think you must have provided all the necessary
documents for Express Entry. The delay though must be related to many numbers of candidates waiting to process their applications.

I believe you can apply.

You should apply for GCMS notes after your 6 months are completed. There is no point or advantage in applying for GCMS notes early.

Thanks for the reply. But my concern is consultant is informing that IP1 or IP2 haven't been updated in the profile. I am not sure whether these actually occurs for everyone or whether it is on a case to case basis.

IP1 and IP2 are not real updates, they have been made up by people who have applied for EE. My IP2 came on the day I gave my biometrics and have been waiting for my PPR since.
