NOC Code......
2281
Hi Guys,

Last year in 2017, I had applied for the Express Entry FSW category and also got an invite that I declined because I couldn't gather funds. My profile has since expired so I created a new one with the same details that I had entered last time. However, my profile was found to be ineligible. I can't seem to understand what went wrong. I've tried twice already but on both occasions it didn't work.
What could go wrong?
I'm applying as a single unmarried guy with funds around CAD 15,500 to Ontario and British Columbia. Any clues?
I wrote my IELTS in June 2017 so that's still valid. Same with my ECA.

I switched my job recently so my primary NOC job is just 4 months. Is it mandatory to have 1 year continuous experience in the primary NOC? I haven't come across that information before. Is it documented somewhere?

Minimum requirements
Skilled work experience
Your work experience must be:
  • in the same type of job as your primary NOC
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count)
  • at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2016 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the occupational description in the NOC. This includes most of the main duties listed.

If you can’t show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you aren’t eligible under this program.

Thanks for this information, guys. So what do I mention as my primary NOC then?

Here's a bit of my professional background:
August 2013 to August 2016 -> NOC 2281
August 2016 to March 2018 -> NOC 2282
April 2018 to Current -> NOC 2171

Reference letter? What's that for? And at what stage of the process would it be used? From what I checked, all we need is experience letter that I worked for the organization, right?
Damn! I feel I've lost touch with the EE process now.

right experience letter. same thing.

Great! Thank you for all the help.
Just to let you all know that I created a new profile with the primary NOC as one of my previous jobs that lasted longer than a year. And this time it succeeded!!
I really appreciate the support given on these forums by the ever-so-helpful folks, especially @navinball and @ishq74. Without the help on forums, it really is very difficult. Thanks!
