Hi there,

I am on PGWP and have been working full time for over a year now and exempt from LMIA. I recently submitted my express entry with the notion that I won't be bringing $ as I am currently employed. However, my situation has driven me to resign the end of the month (in three weeks time). I do not have another valid job offer at this time, I was wondering in this case should I withdraw my application and submit once I have a new job or would it be okay for me to quit it while I stay in the pool? I wouldn't want my status to affect my application negatively. I have some savings which I could demonstrate but I am not sure where I would make the change either.

Many thanks in advance!

Let's clarify a few things here:

1 - The proof of funds exception is based on the fact that you are a CEC applicant, it has nothing to do with currently being employed in Canada.
2 - As you are working on a PGWP you never had a valid job offer.
3 - You are not required to provide POF as long as you're invited under the CEC program.
