I got married in 2009 however my Wife and I separated in 2012 and she filed for a divorce and sent me the final documents. over the years in the process relocating to various countries I misplaced this document it. However, in 2020 when I realized that I would be i wanted to migrate to Canada through the express entry system, I reached out to her to get back a copy of the divorce document of which she took A picture of and sent it to me. I then proceeded to the Supreme Court in my country To apply for a certified/ official copy. It was not until then I was told by the courts that they had no document in their systems reflecting what my wife ex-wife had sent me. I then got a lawyer on the case and his final investigations reveals that the divorce was a fake one. I informed my wife/ex-wife which she said she did not know the document was fake. I immediately proceeded to apply for a real divorce, and it is in the courts now awaiting approval.
