Express Entry for PR (Skilled Immigrant)

Hi Everyone,

I got some questions about post ITA. (Skilled immigrants, Express Entry)

1, For the proof of financial support, can I use CASHABLE GIC(Guaranteed Investment Certificate) instead of conventional chequing/saving account? Otherwise I have to withdraw all money from GICs and lose the rate of interest I got earlier.

2, For the digital photo, should we get a formal passport photo at somewhere like UPS, or we can simply use cell phone to take one?

1. Yes as long as a bank / financial institution can verify it. I did the same.
2. Is the risk worth it for a few bucks? - get your photos from a digital photo shop.
