I have some questions on EE. As per the information, the applications in EE will be sorted based on point based system and those who don't have permanent job offer don't have good chances of getting Invitation to apply (ITA). They have also mentioned that 80% of the applications will be cleared out in 6 months.

Consider someone have 400 points and he is in bottom half on Point based system. What happens to his application after 6-8 months? Will they continue keeping that application in database or will they will reject after certain amount of time? If they keep holding then for how much time? If the reject then for what reason?

Express entry is a competition between applicants. Point distribution is not going to be spread out evenly. 400 points doesn't mean a 400/1200 = 33.3% percentile among applicants.

Until the first drawn result, we don't know if 400 is a good score or not. CIC did mentioned early into the program, most drawn applicants are going to be without LMIA/job offers.

EE profile will remain in the pool for 1 year.

There will be different kinds of draws, as needed, to meet program quotas for example. So it all depends on who else is in the pool for the specific draw at the time.

CIC has been very clear, if you are accepted into the pool of applicants, your application will remain in the pool for one year. If you have not received an invitation to apply (ITA) after one year, you would need to resubmit your EE application to remain in consideration.
