Express Entry Exact Date

This is from government of canada news release,

To prepare for the launch of Express Entry in 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will begin accepting applications under new caps for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC), starting May 1, 2014. These measures will ensure a steady supply of skilled workers who are settling in Canada permanently and helping to supplement the Canadian workforce in areas where there are skills shortages.

While on CIC website, Express Entry will start on Jan 1 2015.

Not sure which one is accurate.

I'm not sure what you are asking. There is no contradiction in what you have quoted.

Express Entry starts January 1, 2015. The new caps launched May 1, 2014 were done in preparation for the Express Entry launch in 2015.

Sorry I copied the wrong context. I remembered Government of Canada website said Express Entry will start in May 2015, contradicted with CIC website. So I was asking the exact day.

I doubt it, the CIC web Site says January/15 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/express/express-entry.asp
