Hi there,
Please i want to know if i have a 1 year working contract and have 20000 c$ (bank account) can i immigrate to Canada with a sponsored family member
Thanks in advance

Is the family member your spouse or if you are minor, is your family member your parent? Only then they can sponsor you. Else get ECA and ielts and apply for EE on your own.

You are far too old to be classified as your mother's dependent. If you want to immigrate to Canada, you will have to qualify on your own.

you mean that i can't be the sponsor to my mother ?

Correct.

After age 22 you are no longer classed as a child for sponsorship. The o my way you can immigrate is if you apply as a skilled worker independently.

Attention, you will need PR in order to be able to sponsor your mother. Just temporary work permit is not enough.

It doesn't work that way. If you get a 1 year contract, then your mother can visit you. She cannot live with you.

You need to be a PR to be able to sponsor your mother and it takes several years to qualify (and additional time for the application to be processed). So you should assume it will be several years between the time you move to Canada and the time your mother can move to Canada.

The 1 year contract may help you qualify for PR - however it doesn't guarantee you will get PR. Depends on a number of things including the skill level of the job, if you have a permanent job offer, etc.
