Hi.
I have a bachelors degree in pharmacy from India, where my graduation date was on November 2011. Although, I have started working in a hospital pharmacy as a pharmacist from March 2011 till September 2012, which is a total of 19 months of work experience as pharmacist. Now my question is, will CIC consider my work experience as 19 months from the month I started working or will they count the months after my graduation was completed. I know within Canada, work during education is not considered. But my education and work was done in India. I am struck at the point while I was filling my express entry assessment where starting month and year and end month and year was asked to fill.should I select the actual dates of work experience or the dates after graduation? Please help me. Thank you.

When you fill up the Express entry profile, there is a question when are you allowed to work in a certain job for regulated occupation or if the question is not applicable, the date you graduated. So this suggests that they are counting the number of work experience after your graduation date.

Thanks for the reply Pacific Islander. I appreciate your help today.
My actual graduation date was supposed to be on march 2011, but I had one subject left to clear, so I had to wait for the next semester to attend the exam and clear it. Meanwhile I had enough time to start my work in pharmacy. Although CIC counts my experience after my graduation date, should I be honest about my work experience and fill in the actual dates of work? Thanks again.

I am not so sure if you should include your work experience before your graduation day. But to answer your question of course you should be honest at all times with the information you will be giving. I suggest you make an express entry profile if you haven't already. You will encounter that question i am referring to.
