Hi,

I wish to apply for Express Entry. I have gone through the relevant points and another Old post for Divorce, but have a question regarding a Divorce decree.

Short Story: I am divorced with an ex party divorce passed against me.

Long Story: I did not wish the relation to continue and spouse was throwing tantrums regarding Alimony (only after my money), so mutual consent divorce was not possible. I did not participate in Divorce proceeds as it was worthless to spend time on it. An ex-party divorce was pronounced against me by the court.

Question:
1. What are the docs I will need to produce before the embassy in case of ITA to prove my Divorce - Will Marriage Certificate and Decree of Divorce be sufficient?
2. In case I find there is an amount of one time Alimony passed against me (due to my non participation) - Is the copy of Demand Draft issued needed to be submitted with my Docs?

Regards,
JK

Express Entry: Docs required to prove India Divorce

Can anyone tell what docs you require to prove divorce, is it the full judgement or just the 1 page decree of divorce.

I am in same boat as you were, I have a divorce decree, combined together with divorce judgement (divorce proceedings, divorce settlement). My question is do I have to get all translated in English (From Hindi) which includes divorce judgement (divorce proceedings, settlement) and a divorce decree OR just the divorce decree part alone would be sufficient, any help greatly appreciated.

Do you know if a Divorce certificate is available in India.

Any inputs/guidance/help is greatly appreciated.

what document/s did you submit for supporting for divorce

Thanks,
Varun
