Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Please refer to the information below in order to avoid your application being declined by CIC due to lack of ECA or IELTS forms.

Educational Credential Assessment

You will have to provide the reference number from the report in your Express Entry profile, as well as your application for permanent residence (along with proof of your foreign credential). If we cannot validate the number you enter, we will need you to provide an electronic copy to confirm. Keep a copy in case we need to see it.

If you are invited to apply for permanent residence and do not include this assessment and proof of your foreign credential when you apply, your application is not complete and will not be accepted for processing. Any fees submitted will be returned and you will need to submit a new Express Entry profile to be considered in the future.

English Language Results

You must:

schedule your test with an agency approved by CIC and pay the costs, and
include the results of your test when you apply. If you do not, we will send your application back to you without processing it.
Do not ask for your language test results to be sent directly to CIC. Submit your test information with your application. Keep your original test in a safe place as we may ask for it later.

Your test results must be valid when you complete your Express Entry profile, and when you apply for permanent residence.

The profile is valid for 12 months. You should make sure that your language test results are valid for at least the same number of days.

If your test results expire soon, you should re-take the test and update your Express Entry profile with your new test results.

A lot of members have asked if it is possible to provide additional documents to CIC after application has been submitted. Please refer to the information below.

Skilled Work Experience

According to the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), skilled work experience means:

managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0)
professional jobs (NOC skill type A)
technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)
You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week.

Can I send a new document after I submit my online visa application?

No. Once you have submitted your online application, you cannot send more documents to support your application unless a CIC officer asks for them.

It is important to include all the necessary information when you submit your application the first time. You can provide more information in the "Add letter of explanation" row when you are uploading your documents.

If an officer asks for a document, you will get a notification in your My Messages box in MyCIC.

To upload an additional document to your online application, as requested by a CIC officer, follow these steps:

Sign in to your MyCIC account.
Under “View my submitted applications” click on “Check status and messages”.
Under “Application Details” click on “View submitted application” at the bottom of the page.
On this page, you will have the opportunity to upload the additional document, the same way you uploaded the others.
To upload your document, find the document listed in your checklist that appears as “Not provided” and click on “upload document”.

Please note that all this information is from CIC website. Hope this information helps existing and prospective applicants!
