Hello All,

I will be applying under express entry CEC stream. Under this stream do I need to submit letters supporting my previous work experience outside Canada?

If you are claiming your points for the foreign work experience (outside of Canada) then yes otherwise you don't need to.

While you are creating profile that time you don't need to submit documents. You will have to submit once you get ITA.

Thanks,
Vinesh

Thanks Vinesh. Could you please let me what details they would require. I am asking since my previous company will just state the period I worked and my last title which do not correpond to the internal designation which I held.

Thanks again.

Harsha.

Hi Harsha,

for proving your work experience you should show a Reference Letter
(Your evidence should include a reference letter from your employer and previous pay stubs, where available).

The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include your name, the company’s contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company and a business card of the person signing the letter.

The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details:
- job title,
- duties/responsibilities,
- job status (if current job),
- the dates you worked for the company, the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.)

There are 3 things everyone should provide CIC from Current and Previous employer:

1. Employment Records (PREVIOUS EMPLOYER) - Reference Letter (Your evidence should include a reference letter from your employer and previous pay stubs, where available. The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include your name, the company’s contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company and a business card of the person signing the letter. The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties/responsibilities, job status (if current job), the dates you worked for the company, the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.)

2. Offer of Employment (CURRENT EMPLOYMENT) - (You must provide an official document from your proposed employer, printed on company letterhead, stating that you will be employed in Canada for a specified period of time by that company. The letter should include contact information for the company (address, telephone number and e-mail address).)

3. Letter of Employment (CURRENT EMPLOYMENT) - In my Opinion, I would say get a latest letter from current employer saying that you are still working till date from the date of joining.

Hope this helps
